Three Shipping Companies Indicted for Dumping Oily Waste

The U.S. Department of Justice said that three shipping companies have been indicted for various federal offenses relating to the alleged dumping of oily waste, falsification of the ship’s oil record book, and obstruction of justice. The companies each face statutory maximum fines of $500,000 on each of the eleven counts of the indictment, if convicted. Source: HK Law
