Analox wins US and UK Naval Contracts

Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Analox has been awarded a contract by the US Defense department for the supply of a 40 additional Sub MkIIP Submarine Escape Monitors. This adds to the fleet’s current pool of 209 operational Sub MkIIP analysers.  In addition to supplying the fleet, Analox is contracted to the annual in service support of the analysers.

The Sub MkIIP is a vital decision making aid on any disabled submarine, and part of a unique set of escape and rescue equipments installed onto the submarine in the event of a submarine accident (DISSUB) in which the submarine is unable to surface,

Also, The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded Analox, a North Yorkshire/ UK SME, the contract for Submarine Escape Analysers for the UK Royal Navy Submarine Fleet.

The Royal Navy has taken the decision to upgrade to the Analox Sub MkIIP, which is the only real time analyser that meets NATO standards and the requirements of the submarine service.

The Sub MkIIP provides real time monitoring of oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature and pressure inside the submarine, and forms a vital decision making aid in the event of the submarine becoming distressed and unable to surface.

Analox will be supplying the Royal Navy Submarine fleet with 72 Sub MkIIPs and providing in service support for the next 2 years. Manufacturing will commence shortly with scheduled deliveries over the coming months.
