Landtman Named New Yard Manager

Aker Yards has a clear ambition to strengthen the operational focus in the business area Cruise & Ferries in Aker Yards, and has decided to strengthen the management team. The new manager for the yards in Finland, Martin Landtman, will together with the manager for the yards in France and the manager for sales and marketing report directly to the CEO.
"We want to make sure that we are a profitable and leading shipbuilder also in the long term. With the new management model for Cruise & Ferries, we are combining the skills of three of the international shipbuilding industry's best top managers. As part of this, we are of course very pleased that Martin Landtman has joined our executive management team", says Svein Sivertsen, chairman of Aker Yards' board of directors.
Martin Landtman will from 1 September 2008 take up the position as manager for the three yards in Turku, Rauma and Helsinki in Finland, with special focus on the operations. Landtman has since 2003 been project director for Finland's largest industrial investment, the Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear power plant.  Between 1979 and 2003, he had numerous senior management positions in Aker Yards' entities in Finland and Germany.  
Juha Heikinheimo has been manager for the business area Cruise & Ferries under the previous structure, and will in the new model be responsible for all sales and marketing activities within Cruise & Ferries, including a new scope to develop new business opportunities.
Jacques Hardelay continues as manager for Aker Yards France. Jacques Hardelay has solid experience in managing industrial companies, and has been manager for the groups' two French shipyards in Saint-Nazaire and Lorient since 2006.
