Detroit Diesel, Volvo Penta Collaboration Concludes

Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) and Volvo Penta of the Americas (VPA) have announced a mutual agreement to conclude their successful four-year collaboration which provided Detroit Diesel distribution rights for Compact and 6-16 liter inboard diesel engines and parts in North America. MAN Diesel to Feature High-Speed Engines

MAN Nutzfahrzeuge will transfer part of its business involving high-speed engines to the group’s sister company, MAN Diesel. With effect from 1 January 2010, these activities will be integrated into MAN Diesel to form a Business Unit High Speed. First ME-GIE Ethane Engine Unveiled at Mitsui

Korean shipowner ILSHIN and HMD (Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd.) have signed a shipbuilding contract for a 50,000 dwt bulk carrier. Notably, the vessel will be powered by an MAN B&W 6G50ME-C9.5-GI engine, to be built by HHI-EMD who will also supply the ME-GI and fuel gas supply system.
