Bollinger Delivers for Bouchard

The Bollinger built 35,000 BBL tank barge B. No 231 sails past the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge entering New York Harbor as the latest addition to the growing OPA’90 compliant fleet of Bouchard Transportation Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C. delivered B. No. 231, the first of two double hull, 35,000 barrel (BBL) oil tank barge units built to meet OPA’90 requirements to Bouchard Coastwise Management. Morton S. Bouchard III, president and CEO of Bouchard Affiliates, said “The delivery of the B. No. 231 is another step forward for Bouchard, and our commitment to our customers to provide the highest quality equipment that meets their changing needs. The Bollinger design, along with their manufacturing process and skilled labor force, insure that we are getting paramount barges, tugs and service for our new and existing fleet.” The B. No. 231 is a manned, clean oil, oceans tank barge measuring 300-ft. long, with a 64-ft. beam and a depth of 21-ft.. The barge has ten cargo tanks, with Byron Jackson cargo pumps, driven by John Deere engines. The barge has accommodations with full galley for four, and is classed ABS, +A1 Oil Tank Barge, Manned Oceans. The sister ship, B. Bollinger to Build Double Hull Barge for K-Sea

Bollinger To Construct Double Hull

Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Amelia, La. has signed a contract to construct a pair of 250-ft. (76.2 m), double hull, jumbo coastwise service, single rake hopper barges for Tide Leasing of Birmingham, Ala. Bollinger Delivers Tank Barge to Hornbeck

Bollinger Marine Fabricators has delivered the Energy 6508, double hull, oil tank barge built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), to Hornbeck Offshore Transportation.  The delivery of the Energy 6508 was preceded by the delivery of the Energy 6506 and Energy 6507 earlier in 2007.  Terms of the contract were not disclosed.The 60,000 BBL capacity Energy 6508 measures 362 x 60 x 29 ft


Cape Horn Delivered into Service

Bollinger Delivers Double Barge Hull

Bollinger Gretna L.L.C., Harvey, La., has delivered GCS 238, an Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA ’90) double hull, ocean service, oil tank barge to Gellatly & Criscione Services of Point Pleasant, NJ. Bollinger To Build Two Liftboats For Cardinal Services

Bollinger Shipyards, Lockport, La., has signed a contract to build two 245-ft. (74.6 m) class liftboats for Cardinal Services, a subsidiary of Superior Energy Services, Inc., Harvey, La. Construction will begin at Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Inc., Amelia, La. this month with deliveries scheduled for February 2002 and June 2002. The liftboats, which will be able to operate in water depths of up to 180-ft., will expand Superior's fleet from 49 to 51

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has received awards for Excellence in Safety, Improvements in Safety, and Occupational Safety awards from two industry groups. The Award for Excellence in Safety and the Award for Improvement in Safety for 2009 were presented to Bollinger by the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA). The awards were received during the association’s April 26-28, 2010 general membership meeting held in Washington, D.C
