Strategic Marine, Bhagwan Marine Contract

Vigor Marine LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vigor Industrial, has completed the asset purchase of Marine Industries Northwest, Inc. (MINI) in Tacoma, Wash. The transaction closed on August 9, 2010 and Vigor Marine officially began vessel repair and conversion operations the same day. Kvichak Marine Will Build Two Marine Transport Vessels

Seattle, WA – Kvichak Marine Industries Inc. was recently awarded a contract by Puget Sound Energy to design and build one each 32’ and 38’ Marine Transport Vessels for PSE’s Baker River Hydroelectric Project.  The vessels will be used at a new downstream fish-passage facility PSE is constructing behind the utility’s Lower Baker Dam to further enhance fish populations in the Skagit-Baker watershed in northwest Washington.

EPA Nod for GE Marine’s Tier 4 Marine Diesel Engine

GE Marine’s 12V250 marine diesel engine has received U.S. EPA Tier 4 Certification.   GE met the emissions requirements through non-Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology that requires no urea-based after-treatment. Acta Marine Inks VSAT Deal with Alphatron Marine

Alphatron Marine announced it has signed a leasing agreement with Acta Marine for to provide satellite hardware and data solution packages for 13 vessels.   Alphatron Marine’s VSAT system including Wireless access will be integrated into the IT infrastructure on the Acta Marine fleet of Multicats, Tugs and Shoalbusters, enabling an unlimited dataflow for both operations and crew welfare.   The vessels will use Alphatron Marine’s new global iDirect platform
