CQ River Cruises Cancelled

The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) issued a Notice stating that it has been notified that CQ River Cruises LLC, doing business as American Rivers Cruise Line, has cancelled all cruises scheduled to commence prior to June 2, 2006. The company operates the river cruise vessel Columbia Queen. The escrow agent has been directed to handle ticket refunds.


New River Cruise Ship Christened in Antwerp

This launch is part of a $120 million fleet investment program by Vantage Deluxe World Travel. Vantage Deluxe World Travel christened the MS River Splendor in Antwerp, Belgium as the latest addition to its growing European river cruising fleet. 'Miss Belgium', Noemie Happart led the official naming ceremony as the ship's godmother. The new ship will make its inaugural passenger voyage on March 17th from Amsterdam. Measuring 442 feet/135 meters


PVA Elects New Officers and Board

At the 2010 Passenger Vessel Association Convention at MariTrends in Tampa, Fla., the members of the PVA elected their new officers and board members. American Cruise Lines Orders Four New Ships

Four new ACL Vessels to Enter Service between 2015 & 2017 and to Operate on U.S. Rivers American Cruise Lines announced plans to build four new riverboats for American river cruising, and noted that construction has already begun on the first two ships, with the first to begin cruising in in the spring of 2015. The first two new riverboats are designed to carry between 150 and 200 guests and will cruise the Mississippi River system and the Columbia and Snake Rivers


Bolidt Decking, Flooring for Viking Cruise Flagship

Bolidt Synthetic Products & Systems has secured a contract as exclusive partner to Viking Ocean Cruises for the supply of decking and flooring. Carnival Corp. to Consolidate German Cruise Ops

Carnival Corporation will consolidate its German cruise operations, transferring the 1,590-passenger cruise ship A'ROSA Blu to its AIDA brand in summer 2004. Separately, the company announced that it has entered into a letter of intent to sell the A'ROSA brand name and the A'ROSA riverboats. With the transfer of the A'ROSA Blu, to be renamed AIDA Blu, Carnival Corp. & plc will have two distinct brands operating five vessels catering exclusively to German-speaking clientele
