COSCO Shipyards Deliver 2 More Bulk Carriers

COSCO Singapore announces delivery from its Chinese shipyards of two bulk carriers to European owners COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announces that subsidiaries of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd have made the following deliveries: 1. COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “FEDERICA”, to its European buyer. 2. COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “CONTI FUCHSIT”, to its European buyer. The bulk carriers of 57000 DWT measure 189.99 meters in LOA (length of all), 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth.

TEN Buys-Back Aframax Tanker Olympia

Navigation Ltd. (TEN) announced that it has taken delivery, pursuant of the exercise of its option in October 2006, of the 1999-built double-hull Aframax tanker Olympia from the German KG house to which it had sold the vessel in 1999. The purchase option was exercised at $31.1 million while its fair market value is estimated to be approximately $60 million. The vessel is currently operating in the spot market and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Euroseas Ltd., an owner and operator of drybulk and container carrier vessels and provider of seaborne transportation for drybulk and containerized cargoes, announced today that it took delivery of the M/V Clan Gladiator, a Handysize container ship of 30,007 dwt and 1,742 teu built in 1992 in Germany, which it had previously agreed to acquire.. The M/V Clan Gladiator, was acquired for approximately $25.7 million; it is employed under a period charter contract at a rate of $19
