COSCO Shipyards Deliver 2 More Bulk Carriers

COSCO Singapore announces delivery from its Chinese shipyards of two bulk carriers to European owners COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announces that subsidiaries of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd have made the following deliveries: 1. COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “FEDERICA”, to its European buyer. 2. COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “CONTI FUCHSIT”, to its European buyer. The bulk carriers of 57000 DWT measure 189.99 meters in LOA (length of all), 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth.

Seanergy Completes Financial Restructuring

Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp. announced today that it has closed on its previously announced delivery and settlement agreement with its remaining lender to unwind its final secured credit facility. The company has sold its four remaining bulk carriers to a nominee of the lender in full satisfaction of the underlying loan. Harvey Gulf Announces Delivery of its Flagship Vessel

Harvey Gulf International Marine, LLC accepted the M/V Harvey Deep-Sea from Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. on July 22, 2013. Following delivery of the vessel from Eastern’s Nelson Yard in Panama City, Fla., the Harvey Deep-Sea took its first journey to Associated Terminals in Port of St. Bernard, La., and with the assistance of Bisso Marine, installed the NOV 165mT heave compensated knuckle boom crane with capacity to lower 100mT to 3,000m/10,000ft.

No tankship orders noted the past week by Clarkson Hellas in their latest S&P Weekly Bulletin, but no lack of orders in the dry bulk carrier market, all from Far East shipbuilders. Dry bulk carriers Foremost Maritime are understood by Clarkson Hellas to have added a further four 180,000 dwt Capesize to their orderbook at Beihai, taking the series to six vessels. Delivery is planned from end 2015 and through 2016.


Globus Maritime Expands Fleet to Seven with Supramax Delivery

Globus Maritime Announces the Delivery of the Supramax "Sun Globe," Expanding Fleet to Seven Vessels.   Globus Maritime Limited ("Globus" or the "Company"), (NASDAQ: GLBS), a dry bulk shipping company, announced that it has taken delivery of the M/V "Sun Globe," a 2007-built Supramax dry bulk carrier it acquired for a purchase price of $30.3 million, which the Company had previously announced in March 2011.

China & Japan shipbuilders scoop the pool of international shipbuilding orders according to the latest Clarkson Hellas S&P Weekly Bulletin. Dry bulk ships Clarkson Hellas says that Pan Ocean has placed an order for two firm 207,000 dwt Newcastlemaxes at New Times, with both vessels due to deliver within the second half of 2016. Also in China, Conti Reederei have extended their order for 64,000 dwt Ultramax to a total of 20 vessels by declaring a further eight options


ECO Expands Aggressive Newbuild Campaign

Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) announced plans to build several new anchor handling towing supply vessels (AHTS), as well as more than a dozen new generation 280-ft. platform supply vessels (PSV) in its affiliated shipyards in the U.S. All vessels are scheduled to join the ECO domestic fleet within the next three years. Construction highlights feature seven new anchor handlers: Two (2) 348-ft., 21,600 HP new generation anchor handlers and five (5) 288-ft., 16,000 HP vessels
