Keppel FELS Delivers 11th Jackup to Mexico

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has delivered a KFELS B Class jackup rig to Mexican national oil company, Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), safely, on time and on budget.   The rig was named Kukulkan by Lady Sponsor Mrs Valerie Pahl-Hernandez, wife of Mr Gustavo Hernandez Garcia, Director General of PEMEX Exploration & Production, at a ceremony at Keppel FELS this evening. Kukulkan is the second jackup rig Keppel has built directly for PEMEX. It will join sister rig, Yunuen, which was delivered earlier this year, and another nine jackup rigs that PEMEX has chartered from drilling contractors for deployment in offshore Mexico. Keppel also has another seven KFELS B Class jackup rigs currently under construction for Mexican companies. The KFELS B Class jackup is designed to operate in water depths of up to 400 feet and drill to depths of 30,000 feet. Developed by Keppel’s Offshore Technology Development (OTD), the KFELS B Class jackup is equipped with an advanced and fully-automated high capacity rack and pinion jacking system, and Self-Positioning Fixation System. It has accommodation with full amenities for 120 persons. Keppel’s partnership with PEMEX was developed since 2004 when it was awarded a contract to build two accommodation modules for them


Keppel FELS Delivers Second Jackup Rig to Oro Negro

Keppel FELS delivered a second KFELS B Class jackup rig to offshore Mexican oil field services company, Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro. Named Laurus at Keppel FELS today, the rig was delivered eleven days early and with a perfect safety record, Keppel noted. Laurus is the second of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS has built for Oro Negro which will be chartered to PEMEX, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico


Keppel Expands Foothold in Mexican Offshore Market

Keppel FELS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has won a contract from PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion, a subsidiary of Mexico's national oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), to build two KFELS B Class jackup rigs worth US$420 million. Scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2015, the high specification rigs will be the 19th and 20th KFELS B Class rigs on order at Keppel, with 36 already delivered in the past decade.


Keppel FELS Delivers Another Premium Rig

Keppel FELS has delivered a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Constructora y Perforadora Latina (CP LATINA), a private Mexican company in the energy sector.   The rig was named La Santa Mariaat a ceremony in Keppel FELS. Delivered on time and with a perfect safety record, it will be chartered to Pemex, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico.   La Santa Maria  is the first of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS is building for CP Latina


AOD to Build KFELS Jackup Rig

Keppel FELS Limited's repeat customer, Asia Offshore Drilling Limited ("AOD"), has exercised its first of two options to build a KFELS B Class jackup rig worth $184 million. The effectiveness of this first option is subject to AOD or its wholly-owned subsidiary entering into a construction contract with Keppel FELS and fulfilling certain conditions precedent. This rig will be AOD's third with Keppel FELS and is scheduled for delivery in 3Q 2013


Keppel, Consortium Secure Jackup Contract

Keppel Kazakhstan LLP (Keppel Kazakhstan) and its consortium partner Ersai Caspian Contractor LLC, Kazakhstan (Ersai Caspian Contractor), have secured a contract from Teniz Burgylau LLP (Teniz Burgylau), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" (KazMunayGas) of Kazakhstan, for a KFELS B Class jackup rig worth US$242 million. Scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2015, the jackup rig will be deployed in the Caspian Sea when completed


Keppel FELS Delivers 21st Rig of 2013

Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS) has delivered ARABDRILL 60, a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) five days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. This marks the 21st newbuild offshore rig that Keppel FELS has delivered in 2013, setting a new record for the most rig deliveries by a company in a year. Keppel Wins Add-on Mexican Jack-up Order

Keppel FELS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has secured a contract to build a jackup rig worth US$206 million from repeat customer Grupo R, a Mexican drilling company. Scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2015, the jackup rig will be built to Keppel's proprietary KFELS B Class design. It will be added to the fleet of another four similar rigs that Keppel FELS is building for Grupo R


Keppel Wins Enscor $245m Jackup Deal

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has secured a contract to build an enhanced KFELS Super A Class harsh environment jackup rig from Ensco plc (NYSE: ESV) for $245 million. The rig is scheduled for delivery in 3Q 2014. This contract arose from the exercise of an option which was part of Ensco's order of two KFELS Super A Class rigs on 10 February 2011. Mr. Dan Rabun, Chairman and CEO of Ensco plc, said, "Ensco's new series of jackup rigs are enhanced versions of the KFELS Super A Class


Ensco Acquires High-Specification Jackup Rig

Ensco said that a subsidiary of the company has purchased Diamond Offshore's Ocean Shield jackup drilling rig, a KFELS Super B Class design, delivered in 2008. The rig will be renamed ENSCO 109. The unique design includes two million pound hoisting capacity, a 15,000 psi high-pressure BOP and nearly 5,000 bbls of liquid mud capacity that make ENSCO 109 ideally suited to drill deep gas wells -- a high growth area in the premium jackup market

  Ensco plc has entered into a three-year contract with NDC for a new premium jackup, ENSCO 110. This newbuild rig is scheduled to commence operations later this month offshore United Arab Emirates at a rate of approximately $114,000 per day.


Northern Offshore Delays Deliveries for Two Jack-up Rigs
