According to an April 19 report from the Taiwan News, after refraining from placing any order for new ships for the past two years, the head of the Evergreen Group now sees the opportune time to replenish his fleet with newbuildings. The Evergreen Group has placed orders with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd in Japan for ten post-Panamax vessels, each with a capacity of 6,724TEU.
