Keppel Singmarine Secures Contract for FSO Vessel
Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has clinched a $87.2m contract to build a Floating Storage Offloading system (FSO) unit for LUKOIL –NIZHNEVOLZHSKNEFT (LUKOIL-NVN), a subsidiary of the Russian oil company, LUKOIL Oil Company. The 28,000 tons (dwt) Ice-Class FSO is a new design by Marine Technology Development Pte Ltd (MTDTM), the design arm of Keppel Singmarine. The MTD13028FSO-IC FSO is designed with provisions for forecastle deck structure for single point mooring, with double bottom and double sides, with habitable deckhouse and Cargo Oil Control Station (COCS), machinery space and helipad in the aft of the vessel. She is meant for uninterrupted services in receiving crude oil from a stationary production platform through single buoy mooring system, storage of oil on board and finally offloading of oil to shuttle tankers. The growing demand for oil and gas all over the world has encouraged Russian energy sector to expand its oil and gas development, production and exports. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2009, the non-propelled FSO unit will be deployed to the Caspian Sea where it will receive and store incoming crude oil and offload it to shuttle tankers.

Keppel Singmarine Completes Tugs
Keppel Singmarine, a member of Keppel Offshore and Marine, has completed four tugs for Keppel Smit Towage (KST). Two tugs, KST Sculptor and KST Scorpius were delivered earlier and the remaining two, KST Spica and KST Sirius were delivered on September 19. Asia’s First Two Arctic Icebreakers
Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has completed Asia’s first two icebreakers, built for one of the harshest marine frontiers on Earth, the Arctic sea for client, LUKOIL-Kaliningradmorneft (LUKOIL). Keppel Hitachi Zosen To Buy Selected Businesses
Keppel Hitachi Zosen Limited (KHZ) has agreed to purchase the shiprepair/shipbuilding and related businesses of Keppel Marine Industries Limited (KMI) for $167 million in cash. Total net assets include $69 million, resulting in a gain of $4 million for KMI. KHZ will acquire all of KMI's investments in Keppel Singmarine Dockyard Pte, Eagle Engineering Company (100 percent), Keppel Philippines Marine (11.6 percent) and Penguin Boat International (16.5 percent)
Keppel Wins $131m Shipbuilding Deal
Keppel Corp said it has won a $133m contract to build a ship for a Romanian drilling company. Keppel said that its unit Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd would build the multi-purpose heavy lifting and pipelaying vessel for drilling contractor Grup Servicii Petroliere SA to be used in the Black Sea and . Keppel, Seadrill Continue Rig Builds
