New ClassNK Surveyor Office in Cardiff

Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) announced the official opening of a new surveyor office in Cardiff, U.K. The new office becomes the fourth new office to be opened by the Society this year, following the establishment of new offices in Malaysia, Syria, and Peru earlier this month. The new Cardiff Office is also the Society’s fourth office to be opened in the United Kingdom joining offices in London, Newcastle, and Milford Haven. Since opening its first international surveyor office in 1962, ClassNK has grown to have a global presence, with more than 170 million gross tons on its class register and 113 exclusive surveyor offices around the globe.


Stolt-Nielsen Opens New Office

Last week the Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group (SNTG) opened a new office in the Rotterdam port area. Some time ago SNTG announced the concentration of its European activities in Rotterdam. From the office the transport of ten million tons of chemical products per year is controlled: two million tons by deep sea vessels, an equal amount by short sea, 5.5 million tons by inland shipping and 400,000 tons in tank containers. SNTG deploys 37 inland vessels under its own flag.


Gulf Harbor Shipping Opens New Office

Gulf Harbor Shipping, L.L.C., a full service tramp, tanker and project cargo shipping agency has opened a new office located in the World Trade Center, suite 2101, No. 2 Canal Street, New Orleans, La., 70130. Technology Associates Opens Office in India

A naval engineering company, has opened an office in India that will double its size. Technology Associates, which has 17 employees in New Orleans, will add 24 workers to the new office by the end of the year, the company announced this week.
