Hydril Receives Order From Diamond Offshore

Hydril Company announced it has received another order for the purchase of a blowout preventer multiplex control system from a subsidiary of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Delivery of the system will be in 2003 for use within the Diamond Offshore fleet of rigs. Chris Seaver, president and CEO of Hydril Company said "This is the third deepwater blowout preventer multiplex control system Diamond Offshore has ordered from Hydril since the third quarter of last year. We are pleased to be selected to assist Diamond in their on-going program to upgrade their deepwater fleet of rigs."


Vroon Offshore Services Take Delivery of VOS Theia

 Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) have taken delivery of a new addition to their offshore fleet. The VOS Theia, a 1,400 dwt anchor handling tug support (AHTS) vessel built at the Fujian Shipyard in China, was delivered today, 18 April 2011, in China. The vessel will operate out of Singapore and will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Pte Ltd. This vessel is an upgrade on our "H"-class vessels, in terms of dynamic positioning.   


10,850-HP AHTS Joins Seabulk Offshore Fleet

The Seabulk Offshore group of companies last week added a new UT-710 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS) to its fleet, making the 226-ft. Seabulk South Atlantic the fifth newbuild vessel in Seabulk's 2003 fleet renewal program. Built by Brevik Construction AS in Norway, the 10,850-hp Seabulk South Atlantic joins the Seabulk fleet on a five-year bareboat charter agreement that includes a purchase option at the end of the contract. ECO Fleet to be Outfitted with Autoload

Autoship Systems Corporation announced that Edison Chouset Offshore LLC (ECO) of Galliano, LA, USA has chosen to have their offshore fleet of vessels outfitted with the Autoload onboard stability program. “The delivery of the Autoload software will be a staged roll-out for the ECO fleet. Ultra-Deepwater Drillship Order for Korean Yard

QGOG Constellation S.A. exercise a Samsung Heavy Indurstries contract option for an advanced capability DP3 drillship. This will be the third drillship ordered from SHI in South Korea and is scheduled to be delivered in December 2014. The unit will have advanced capabilities to meet the requirements of ultra-deepwater drilling in water depths of up to 12,000 feet and a total vertical drilling depth of 40,000 feet, based on the proprietary Samsung 12000 hull

Helix Updates Offshore Fleet Backlog

Helix Energy Solutions Group announce a number of contractual commitments for its well intervention fleet of vessels. The Helix 534 was acquired in August from Transocean and is undergoing modifications and upgrades necessary for conversion into a well intervention vessel at the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore. It is scheduled to sail from Singapore during the first quarter of 2013 and after transit to the Gulf of Mexico, is expected to be placed into service in late second quarter 2013
