Seacor Smit Reports Securities Repurchase Increase

Seacor Smit noted that its Board of Directors had raised its previously announced securities repurchase program by $55 million - resulting in an approximate increase of $73.5 million available to the Company for such purposes. The securities covered by the repurchase program include the Company's common stock, its 5 3/8 percent convertible subordinated notes due 2006, its 7.2 percent senior notes due 2009 and the 10 percent senior notes due 2008 of its affiliate Chiles Offshore LLC


MEBA & Armada Companies Form Offshore Terminal Lightering Partnership

The Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association (M.E.B.A.) has signed an agreement with Armada Companies, LLC to provide Person-In-Charge (PIC) marine officers for liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater ports and other terminals worldwide. QCI Wins Contract

QCI Marine Offshore LLC, a Joiner/Electrical company, has been awarded the accommodations and electrical work on Noble Drilling’s Clyde Boudreaux semisubmersible drilling rig. The work scope consists of four levels of new construction for 200 POB. The project will consist of complete outfitting and providing all support services. The project will be executed at Signal International’s shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi.


Keppel FELS clinches $110M rig order

Keppel FELS Limited (KFELS), the offshore arm of Keppel FELS Energy & Infrastructure Ltd. (Keppel FELS), has signed a contract with Chiles Offshore LLC (Chiles) to build a $110 million jack-up rig of KFELS MOD V "B" design, cantilevered jack-up rig. Work is expected to start immediately, with delivery scheduled for around the second quarter of 2002. This rig is one of KFELS' ultra-premium proprietary jack-up designs which has been modified in this case for non-harsh environment usage


ECO Fleet to be Outfitted with Autoload
