Skipsteknisk Design for Volstad
According to a report from Offshore Shipping Online, naval architect company, Skipteksnisk, has confirmed that Volstad Maritime in Aalesund, Norway ordered another seismic research vessel based on a Skipsteknisk design. Project Seeks to Increase Energy Efficiency in Offshore Shipping
A project has been established to identify energy efficiency and fuel saving initiatives for the offshore shipping industry. The partnership involves a collaboration of seven Norwegian offshore shipping companies. Garware Offshore Plans Shipbuilding Yard with Norway Firm
Mumbai-based Garware Offshore Services Ltd., a company that offers ships for oil and gas exploration activities, plans to enter the shipbuilding business by setting up an exclusive facility for making offshore support vessels. This shipbuilding yard will be a joint venture with Norway-based ship manufacturer Havyard Leirvik AS, promoted by Havyard Group AS. Havyard Leirvik is a leader in making offshore ships, ice-breaking ships and other types of specialized vessels.

Solstad Offshore Sells Vessels
Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Offshore ASA said on Monday (26 May) that its 71.1%-owned ship-owning subsidiary Normand Skarven KS has agreed to sell its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Normand Skarven to foreign buyers.
