Norway's Havyard says it has signed a contract for the construction of a Havyard 833 WE ICE platform supply vessel with Fafnir Offshore HF. The vessel is to be designed by Havyard Design and Solutions in Fosnavaag & will be constructed at Havyard Ship Technology`s yard in Leirvik in Sogn, Norway. The vessel will become newbuild number 126, and has a contract value of just above NOK 350 million being due for delivery in July 2015.
Kleven Maritime contracted by Remøy Shipping for the delivery of a LNG-powered platform supply vessel (PSV) The vessel is to be built at Kleven Maritime’s shipyard Kleven Verft. Total contract value for Kleven is around 400 million NOK. In addition, the contract also includes an option for a further vessel of the same type. Farstad Shipping ASA has been awarded charter contracts with a value of about US$ 58-million. The contracts awarded to Farstad are as follows: Statoil has awarded contracts to PSV Far Spica (2013, PSV 08 CD, 4,000 DWT) and PSV Far Scotsman (2012, PSV 08 CD, 4,000 DWT) to support the Statoil drilling campaign on the coast of East Africa.
