Technip Awarded Contract for Field Developments
Technip has been awarded by Petrofac Energy Developments Ltd (Petrofac) a contract, worth approximately €36 million, for the development of the Don West and Don South West oil fields. These fields are located 150 miles off Shetland, in the United Kingdom North Sea and will be tied back to the Northern Producer floating production facility. Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen (Scotland) will execute the contract. It covers: • project management, assembly and installation of a production pipeline, a gas lift pipeline, a water injection pipeline and an oil export pipeline, • installation of a subsea structure, eight flexible risers(1) and two umbilicals(2), and • pre-commissioning, tie-ins and testing. Offshore installation is scheduled for the third quarter 2008 using two vessels from Technip’s fleet, the Apache and the Wellservicer. The pipelines will be welded at the Group’s spoolbase in Evanton, Scotland.
Technip Gets Important Contract from ConocoPhillips UK
Technip awarded a five-year sub-sea Inspection, repair and maintenance contract by ConocoPhillips U.K. Technip has been awarded a five-year inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) frame agreement contract by ConocoPhillips (U.K.) Limited for various assets in the Central, Southern North Sea and East Irish Sea. The contract covers diver repair and maintenance solutions for the company’s existing U.K. subsea infrastructure.
Technip to Build New Pipelay Vessel
Technip awarded STX Heavy Industries (Korea) a contract for the construction of its new pipelay vessel. This 194m-long vessel will have twin 2,800 ton reels. She will have a top tension capacity of 450 tons for laying rigid steel pipes and flexible products up to 18-in. in diameter through a dedicated lay tower installed at the stern. She will also be equipped with a 150 ton crane, a PLET (pipeline end terminations) handling system and accommodation for 140 people
Technip-Coflexip Awarded Contract
Technip-Coflexip has recently been awarded a contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. (BSP) for its Egret Phase 1 Gas Development Project, offshore Brunei. This contract is the first one with BSP. Under the terms of a lump sum contract, worth about $22 million, Technip-Coflexip will be responsible for project management, engineering, procurement and fabrication. BHP Billiton Awards Technip-Coflexip Offshore Contract
CSO Aker Engineering, Inc., a U.S. entity of the Technip-Coflexip Group has been awarded a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract by BHP Billiton for its Angostura Development Project offshore Trinidad. CSO Aker Engineering will execute the engineering contract together with sister company Technip Upstream Houston. Completion of FEED is scheduled for Q2 2002. Technip USA Announces Contract Award for the Freeport LNG Terminal
Freeport LNG Development, L.P. and Technip USA Corporation, a subsidiary of Technip have signed a contract for the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) leading to the finalization of the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract for its LNG receiving terminal to be located on Quintana Island near Freeport, Texas. The FEED is expected to be completed by the end of December with the EPC phase of the project beginning in the first quarter of 2004.
Technip Wins Lump Sum GOM Contract
Technip was awarded a lump sum contract by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for the engineering, construction and transport of a 23,000 ton truss Spar hull for their Lucius project in approximately 7,100 feet (2,165 meters) of water depth in the US Gulf of Mexico, with first oil being scheduled in 2014.
