Technip Awarded Subsea Contract in the Gulf of Mexico

Technip was awarded by Deep Gulf Energy II LLC a lump sum contract for the development of the Kodiak field, located in Mississippi Canyon Blocks 727 and 771, in the Gulf of Mexico, at water depths ranging from 1,472 meters to 1,710 meters. The project consists of a subsea tie-back to the Devils Tower Truss Spar located in Mississippi Canyon Block 773. To withstand Kodiak field’s high temperature and pressure as well as extremely corrosive production fluids, the pipeline will be of a bi-metallic construction, lined with corrosion resistant alloy(1). This solution effectively addresses the challenges of increasingly demanding operating conditions. • crossings preparation along with pre-lay and post-lay survey.

Technip awarded new LNG plant contract in China

Technip has been awarded an engineering, procurement and technical assistance contract by Fengzhen Wanjie Gas Co. Ltd. for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Fengzhen City, Inner Mongolia Province, China. The plant will consist of 1.3 million Nm3/day(1) LNG train (0.35 Mtpa) and a 0.3 million Nm3/day Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station. Basic engineering design (BED) of the process plant, BED and detailed engineering design of a LNG tank, procurement of key equipment such as the main cryogenic heat exchanger, mixed refrigerant compressor, boil-off gas compressor, LNG in-tank pumps, cryogenic control and on-off valves. The LNG plant will be based on an Air Products liquefaction process.

Important Offshore Contract for Technip

Technip awarded an important EPCI contract for the G1200 to develop the Starfish field in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Technip wins a lump sum engineering, procurement, commissioning and installation (EPCI) contract with BG International Ltd (BG) for the development of the Starfish field. Located in the East Coast Marine Area, offshore Trinidad, the field lies at a water depth of approximately 130 meters and will be tied back to the existing Dolphin ‘A’ Platform operated by BG. Technip's operating center in Houston, Texas will perform the overall project management with detailed design being completed by Genesis, a wholly-owned Technip subsidiary. The umbilical will be manufactured by Technip’s Duco Inc.

Technip Awarded GofM Subsea Contract

Technip wins a lump sum contract for development of subsea infrastructure for the Cardamom field located in the Gulf of Mexico, Garden Banks block 427. The field is at a water depth of approximately 830 meters, and the project consists of a subsea tie-back to the Auger tension leg platform, wholly owned by Shell Offshore Inc. The contract covers the project management, engineering, fabrication and installation of the East and West Loop 12.8 kilometer pipe-in-pipe flowlines with associated PLETs and steel catenary risers. Technip's operating center in Houston, Texas will perform the overall project management. The flowlines and risers will be welded at Technip’s spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama.

Technip Wins Important GofM Subsea Contract

Technip awarded Murphy Exploration & Production Co. contract for development of Dalmatian Field in Gulf of Mexico. The lump-sum contract is for work at a water depth ranging from 530 to 1,800 meters on a field  jointly owned by Murphy and Ecopetrol America Inc., comprised of the De Soto Canyon Blocks 4, 47, 48 and 91. The project consists of a subsea tie-back to an existing Gulf of Mexico platform. The contract covers: project management, engineering, fabrication and installation of a gas riser, an oil riser, a 38-kilometer flowline and a 34-kilometer pipe-in-pipe flowline with associated PLETs and jumpers; installation of a main subsea control umbilical, infield umbilical, and associated foundation and flying leads, then pre-commissioning.

Technip Wins Brunei Offshore Pipe Contract

Technip awarded flexible pipe supply contract for Champion Field offshore Brunei. Technip has been awarded by Swiber Offshore Construction a flexible pipe supply contract for the Brunei Shell Petroleum’s Champion Field, located 40 kilometers offshore Brunei, at a water depth of 45 meters. The contract covers the supply of 12 flexible flowlines, with a total length of 19 kilometers. Brunei Shell Petroleum will use these flexible pipes to increase the existing Champion Field production by redevelopment. The Champion WaterFlood Project, divided into brown field and green field, will be carried out in several phases and will aim at increasing oil recovery from the field.

Technip Gets Important Contract from ConocoPhillips UK

Technip awarded a five-year sub-sea Inspection, repair and maintenance contract by ConocoPhillips U.K. Technip has been awarded a five-year inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) frame agreement contract by ConocoPhillips (U.K.) Limited for various assets in the Central, Southern North Sea and East Irish Sea. The contract covers diver repair and maintenance solutions for the company’s existing U.K. subsea infrastructure. Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen, Scotland, will execute the contract, which will run from 2012 until 2016, with two two-year options to extend it.

Shell Sub-sea Installation Contract for Technip

Technip gets a large subsea installation contract by Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd for the Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility moored some 200 kilometers off the north west coast of Australia, in the Browse Basin, at a water depth of approximately 240 meters. Technip’s operating centers in Perth, Australia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will execute the contract, with engineering to commence immediately. Technip’s spoolbase in Orkanger, Norway, will be welding the flowline linepipe provided by Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd. Vessels from the Group’s fleet will be used for the offshore campaigns, including the Deep Energy and the Deep Orient.

Technip Gets Major North Sea Contract

Technip gains a Marathon Oil Norge AS  engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract, worth above €300 million, for the Bøyla field development in the North Sea, located about 225 kilometers West of Stavanger, Norway, at a water depth of 120 meters. The contract includes all activities necessary to complete the construction of the subsea system for the Bøyla field development and connect it to the existing Alvheim subsea facilities, located 28 kilometers away. •    tie-in by divers, trenching, rockdumping, and ready for operation activities. Technip’s operating center in Oslo, Norway, will execute the contract. Offshore construction will take place in 2014 with several vessels from Technip’s fleet, including the Deep Energy and the Skandi Arctic.

Technip Wins Key Offshore Engineering Contract

Technip was awarded a front end engineering design (FEED) contract by BP Exploration & Production Inc. This contract covers the design of a Spar* hull and mooring systems for the Mad Dog Phase 2 Project, located  near Green Canyon Block 825 in the Gulf of Mexico. This first award comes under the framework of the 10-year Spar platform master services agreement signed in 2011. The Mad Dog Phase 2 Spar will be located near the first Mad Dog Spar delivered by Technip for BP in 2004, and installed on Green Canyon 782. Detailed engineering for the new Spar is scheduled to start during the second half of 2012. Technip’s operating center in Houston, Texas, will execute the contract with support from the center in Pori, Finland.

Technip Awarded a Large Subsea Installation Contract in Australia

Technip has been awarded a subsea contract by Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. for the Wheatstone Project, one of Australia’s largest resource projects. The contract, valued at approximately €245 million, covers the development of the Wheatstone and Iago fields, located in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Northwestern Australia. This contract includes project management, design, fabrication and installation of subsea isolation valve; production tee protection structures, spools(1) and jumpers(2);  transport and installation of manifold, foundation structures and pipeline; termination structures; and supply and installation of 41 kilometres of umbilicals. Technip’s operating center in Perth, Australia, will manage the overall project with engineering to begin immediately.

Technip Awarded Supply Contract for Australian Gas Field

Inpex Corporation awarded Technip a flexible pipe supply lump sum contract for the Ichthys gas field in Australia. Inpex has novated this contract to McDermott as part of the overall subsea umbilical, riser, flow line EPCI contract. The Ichthys LNG project is a Joint Venture between Inpex (76 percent, the Operator) and Total (24 percent). Gas from the Ichthys field, in the Browse Basin approximately 200 kilometers offshore Western Australia, will undergo preliminary processing offshore to remove water and extract condensate. The 889 kilometers Ichthys gas export pipeline will transport production from the offshore central processing facility through a subsea pipeline to the onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, to be located at Blaydin Point, Darwin, Northern Australia.

Technip Awarded Subsea Contract for the Gulf of Mexico

Technip was awarded a lump sum contract by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for the development of  the Lucius field, located in the Keathley Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico, at a water depth of approximately 7,000 feet (2,130 meters). The contract covers installation of a flexible flow line, multiple flexible gas lift jumpers; main gas lift and infield umbilicals; subsea distribution units; electrical, fiber optic and hydraulic flying leads; • design and fabrication of the flexible flowline end termination; fabrication and installation of rigid jumpers; • burial of flow lines; • flooding and hydro-testing of the flowline system. Technip's operating center in Houston, Texas, will perform the overall project management.

Technip Awarded Subsea Contract in Gulf of Mexico

Technip has been awarded a contract by Exxon Mobil Corporation for subsea equipment on the Hadrian South natural gas project in the Gulf of Mexico in approximately 7,500 feet (2,300 meters) of water. The project consists of a subsea tie-back to the planned Anadarko operated spar platform, Lucius(1). The contract covers project management, procurement and installation of two 7- mile-mile long flowlines(2) and associated jumpers, installation of a 9-mile umbilical(3), associated foundation and flying leads. Technip’s operating center, in Houston, Texas, will execute the contract. The flowlines will be welded at Technip’s spoolbase, located in Mobile, Alabama.

Technip Awarded Contract, Sunrise Energy Project in Canada

Technip announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, KTI Corporation, was awarded a purchase order by Snamprogetti Canada to design and supply ten Once Through Steam Generation (OTSG) units for the first phase of the Sunrise Energy Project. The OTSG units are an integral part of the Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) process being applied at Sunrise for the extraction of bitumen. Sunrise is a SAGD Oil Sands Project being constructed approximately 60 kilometers northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada and operated by Husky Energy.

Technip Awarded North Sea Contract by RWE Dea

Technip was awarded a full EPIC(1) contract by RWE Dea, for the Clipper South gas field development in the North Sea. The field is located 70 kilometers North-east of the Bacton gas terminal in 25 meters of water. The contract covers full project management, detailed pipeline design, installation and tie-in of a 15.5 kilometer 12" production line and 3" methanol piggyback line from the new Clipper South platform to the existing LOGGS (Lincolnshire Offshore Gas Gathering system) platform.

Technip Awarded Offshore Contract In The United Arab Emirates

Technip was awarded an engineering services contract by ZADCO*  for  the UZ 750 project,  one  of  the  major  offshore  field  development  projects  in  the  United  Arab Emirates. The  project  aims  at  increasing  by  2015  the  oil  production  of  the  Upper Zakum  field  (located  in  the  Gulf,  84  kilometers  offshore  Abu  Dhabi)  to  750,000 barrels of oil per day and to sustain this production target for at least 25 years. ·  procurement services for long lead items. This  contract  follows  the  conceptual  engineering,  which  has  been  successfully completed by Technip.

Technip Awarded Contract for Norway’s Snorre Project

Technip has been awarded by Statoil ASA a contract, worth approximately $30.1m, for the development of the Snorre field in the Norwegian North Sea. The contract covers the welding and installation of a 9 kilometer-long rigid steel flowline(1) to connect the Snorre A and B platforms. It also includes installation and tie-in of the flexible risers(2) required to connect the flowline to the platforms. This contract will be executed by Technip’s operating center in Oslo, Norway. The flowline will be welded at the Group’s Spoolbase in Orkanger, Norway. Risers installation is scheduled for the summer of 2011, while flowline installation, to be performed by the new pipelay vessel from Technip fleet Apache II, will be done in the first half of 2012, followed by the tie-in operations.

Technip Awarded Subsea Contract in Canada

Technip has been awarded by Husky Oil Operations Limited, a subsidiary of Husky Energy, a major engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning (EPIC) contract for the development of the White Rose oil field’s North Amethyst Satellite. Technip to Build New Pipelay Vessel

Technip awarded STX Heavy Industries (Korea) a contract for the construction of its new pipelay vessel. This 194m-long vessel will have twin 2,800 ton reels. She will have a top tension capacity of 450 tons for laying rigid steel pipes and flexible products up to 18-in. in diameter through a dedicated lay tower installed at the stern. She will also be equipped with a 150 ton crane, a PLET (pipeline end terminations) handling system and accommodation for 140 people. With a transit speed of 20 knots, she has been specifically designed to minimize intercontinental transits and allow her efficient deployment in all deep water regions of the world.

Technip Awarded Contract for Enfield Development

Technip has been awarded by Woodside Energy Limited a contract for the Enfield development. This field is located offshore Australia at a water depth of 550m. The contract includes: the recovery of an existing spool, the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of a new spool intended to enhance the field production, with its installation cradle and an associated umbilical. Project execution will be supported by Technip Subsea 7 Asia Pacific (TS7), the joint venture between Technip and Subsea 7 for subsea offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region. The project team will be based in Perth (Australia). Offshore installation will be carried out by the Rockwater 2, one of TS7’s construction vessels.

Technip has been awarded a contract for the Cili Padi gas field development by Shell Oil and Gas Malaysia LLC.
