Aker Solutions Wins Drilling Equipment Contracts

Aker Solutions has been awarded two contracts with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in for the delivery of identical drilling equipment packages for Odebrecht's two new drillships. The total contract value for Aker Solutions is approximately $260m. The scope of work for Aker Solutions is to deliver complete drilling equipment packages consisting of engineering, equipment deliveries and commissioning services. The first drillship is scheduled for delivery in Q1/2011 and the second in Q2/2011.


Euronav Enters FSO Market

Euronav NV announced that Maersk Oil Qatar AS has awarded two contracts for the provision of Floating Storage and Offloading (‘FSO’) services on the Al Shaheen field off shore Qatar. The award has been made in favor of a joint venture between Euronav NV and Overseas Shipholding Group. Within the limits of its confidentiality obligations, the company can disclose that the award of the contracts for eight years is to be performed by two vessels, the TI Asia (2002) and the TI Africa (2002)


Wärtsilä Engines for Royal Caribbean

Wärtsilä Corporation won an order in August to power a new cruise ship contracted by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCL) at Meyer Werft in Germany. With this order included Wärtsilä will now be powering the whole series of three new cruise ships contracted by RCL at Meyer Werft during 2006. The other two contracts were awarded to Wärtsilä in spring this year. The ships will each be equipped with four Wärtsilä 46 engines with common-rail fuel injection


Aker Kvaerner Awarded Subsea Contracts in Brazil

Aker Kvaerner has been awarded two contracts from Petrobras to supply a total of three subsea manifolds for two of the Brazilian oil giant's projects offshore Brazil. Combined contract value is approximately USD 90 million. Aker Kvaerner Subsea in Brazil will design, manufacture and deliver two oil production manifolds for Petrobras' Albacora RWI project in the Campos Basin, and one gas export pipeline-end manifold to the Jubarte phase II project


GE Oil & Gas Receives $120m Contracts from DSME

GE Oil & Gas' Drilling & Production business has received two contracts totaling more than $120m from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd of South Korea, engaged in building ships and offshore structures. Under the first contract, GE will supply a blowout preventer (BOP) stack and controls system, to be installed on a Petroserv-owned drillship for oil and gas production activities offshore Brazil.


Atlantic Offshore Gets Statoil PSV Contract

Atlantic Offshore signs long-term contract with Statoil to operate two Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) from 2014 The agreement, which consists of two contracts, has a length of six years with an option for a further three years. Statoil Awards Aker Maritime With Two Contracts

Statoil has awarded Aker Maritime two large contracts for maintenance and modification work on its fields in the Tampen area of the North Sea and the Halten Bank/Nordland area of the Norwegian Sea. Keppel Corporation Limited, through its offshore and marine units in Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), have clinched contracts worth a total of S$45 million. L-3 Gets Navy Contracts

According to the AP, L-3 Communications Holdings Inc., has received two contracts with the U.S. Navy for $39.4m to extend service on five ships. The service life extension program has a maximum contract value of $94 million and extends service by 10 years to 30 years. The extension program includes hull repair and refurbishment; main engine upgrades; installation of a new skirt system and upgrades to the communications and navigation systems.


Latest GEOSHIPS Vessel Secures Multimillion Pounds Worth of Contracts
