Dongara Marine Awarded Large Patrol Vessel Contract

Siem Topaz Vessel's Contract in Taiwan Extended to Q4 2024

The Norwegian offshore vessel Siem Offshore said Monday it had secured a contract extension for the AHTS Siem Topaz with a local client in Taiwan. The contract will start in direct continuation of the current contract, for a firm period reaching into Q4 2024. The vessel will continue to be employed within the offshore wind industry.Offshore Engineer reported back in March that Siem Offshore had secured a medium-term contract for the AHTS Siem Topaz for client Helix Robotics Solutions Inc.

Perdana Nautika Wins AHTS Vessel Contract

Malaysia's Perdana Petroleum's subsidiary, Perdana Nautika, has secured a contract for the provision of an anchor handling, Tug, and Supply (“AHTS”) vessel to RMS Synergy.The contract started on June 13, 2023, and has a 60-day duration. The contract is valued at around RM4.3 million (currently around $944,328).Perdana Nautica said it would provide an AHTS vessel with crews and equipment to perform a continuous service "for the purpose of assisting on the project activities."Perdana did not say what kind of project activities exactly the vessel would be supporting, nor which vessel exactly was deployed for the contract with the offshore support service provider RMS Synergy.

MMA Offshore to Support Beach Energy Operations in Bass Strait, Australia

Australian offshore vessel owner MMA Offshore has secured a vessel contract with the oil and gas company Beach Energy.The MMA Coral will provide vessel support to Beach Energy’s two production platforms located in the Bass Strait, offshore Australia. The vessel will also provide subsea inspection and survey services and will support planned drilling operations.Starting in late November 2022, the contract is for a firm period of one year with an additional one-year option. Solstad, Siem, Standard Supply Score Offshore Vessel Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel owners Solstad Offshore, Siem Offshore, and Standard Supply have all secured offshore vessel contracts in the past few days.Solstad Offshore on Monday said it had secured a contract for the platform supply vessel Normand Swan in Australia. Solstad Offshore said the contract was for two years and with "a major energy company."The client will have additional extension options. The contract will start in September 2022. No financial details were shared.The Normand Swan is an 89-meter-long vessel built to Ulstein's PX 105 design back in 2014.

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Solstad Offshore has said Wednesday it had secured a contract for its Normand Maximus construction support vessel.The contract is with an unnamed "major energy company." SeaBird Gets Termination Notice for OBN Source Vessel Contract

Marine seismic firm SeaBird Exploration, a subsidiary of seabed minerals-focused Green Energy Group, said Friday it had received notice of termination regarding work for the Fulmar Explorer vessel.SeaBird in October said it had entered into a firm duration one-year contract for the Fulmar Explorer "with a repeat customer." "The contract was to begin in November 2021.However, the company said Friday that a termination notice came for the client and that it "has not accepted the termination.""The two parties are currently in discussions with the aim of finding a solution," SeaBird said."The Fulmar Explorer is currently in Galveston, Texas and has against this contract been outfitted as a high-end OBN source vessel.

DOF's Skandi Achiever DSV to Stay with Petrobras Until 4Q 2022

Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF Subsea has won more work in Brazil with Petrobras.After a recent three-year contract secured for a pipelay support vessel duo co-owned with TechnipFMC, DOF Subsea said Thursday it had secured a contract extension with Petrobras for the diving support vessel Skandi Achiever.The extension will see the Skandi Achiever stay with Petrobras until the fourth quarter of 2022, providing ROV and diving services until the fourth quarter of 2022. TechnipFMC Says Vessel Contract with Petrobras 'Significant'

Oilfield services giant TechnipFMC has shed more light on vessel contracts it recently secured with Petrobras in Brazil in cooperation with the Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF.DOF last week said it had, in JV with TechnipFMC, secured three-year contracts for two pipelay support vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, without sharing further details on the scope of work awarded nor on the value.TechnipFMC on Tuesday issued a separate statement in which it said the contracts were "significant" which for TechnipFMC means as having a value between $75 million and $250 million.The Brazilian-built and flagged vessels are owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda, a 50/50 JV between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea.

Island Offshore Bags Walk-to-Work Vessel Contract at UK Wind Farm

Norwegian offshore vessel firm Island Offshore said Tuesday it had won a vessel contract at the Moray East offshore wind farm in the UK.With its Island Crown vessel, Island Offshore is providing the wind farm operator MOWEL with Walk-to-Work services.The Island Crown has already started the project for Moray East, operating out of Peterhead, north-east in Scotland.The vessel is used to accommodate and transfer technicians and equipment for work on the windfarm’s three offshore substation platforms."These operations are scheduled to last until the last part of June 2021, with potential extensions into July 2021," Island Offshore said in a social media post.Built in 2013, 96.8 meters long Island Crown can accommodate 100 crew members aboard.

ADSB Scores $950 Million UAE Patrol Boat Contract

The United Arab Emirates has signed a 3.5 billion dirham ($950 million) contract with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) to manufacture four new patrol vessels for the Gulf Arab state's navy, ADSB said on Tuesday.The Falaj 3-class Offshore Patrol Vessel contract was ADSB's largest ever order, which Chief Executive David Massey said gave it a sustainable and profitable future for the next five years.ADSB will build all four hulls in Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital, and is responsible for integrating systems, he said.Massey told Reuters ADSB first entered into talks with the UAE for the vessel contract s

Siem Offshore Loses Offshore Vessel Contract in Canada

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Siem Offshore has seen a platform supply vessel contract in Canada terminated almost two years ahead of the expected contract expiration.The company said Friday that its Canadian subsidiary Secunda Canada had received a notice of early termination of the charter party for the vessel Siem Pilot."The original charter period expires in November 2022. Secunda Canada LP will be entitled to an early termination fee," Siem Offshore said. According to available information, the vessel had been on a long-term contract with the Canadian oil company Suncor.Built in 2010, the 88.3 meters long Siem Pilot is a diesel-electric driven supply ship and pipe carrier.

US Navy Awards Unmanned Vessel Contract to L3 Harris

L3Harris Technologies said it has received a contract from the U.S. Navy for the Medium Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MUSV) program. The $35 million initial award is part of a $281 million program that includes a prototype and options for a total of nine MUSVs. Quonset Point, Rhode Island-based Atlantic Wind Transfers has secured its second long-term O&M Crew Transfer Vessel contract in the U.S.Under the contract Atlantic Wind Transfers will provide offshore marine support services for the Siemens Gamesa offshore wind turbines to be installed for the first offshore wind project in U.S. federal waters.
