Ultra-Deepwater Cajun Express Contract

Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG) announced that the Board of Directors of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) has approved the award of a three-year contract for the ultra-deepwater semisubmersible rig Cajun Express for operations in Brazil. Petrobras has the right within one year of contract execution to convert the three-year contract to a five-year contract. Estimated contracted revenues related to the three-year contract term and five-year contract term, if elected, are approximately $558.5m and $894.3m, respectively, depending on the date of execution of conversion. Estimated contract revenues represent the maximum amount of revenues that may be earned in the firm contract period, excluding revenues for mobilization, cost escalations, customer reimbursed equipment and miscellaneous adjustments. The contract term is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2010 following the completion of the rig's current contract. The approved contract is expected to be executed by subsidiaries of Petrobras and Transocean at least 90 days prior to the rig's arrival in Brazil.

Servomex Receives Multi-Year Contract

Servomex has been granted a multi-year contract to provide its Xentra 4100 Gas Purity Analyzer to Praxair of Tonawanda, N.Y. The Xentra analyzer, which measures trace levels of carbon dioxide, comes equipped with a patented gas filter correlation infrared bench. The primary application of the product will be the monitoring of very low levels of carbon dioxide dissolved in liquid oxygen inside the main condensers of cryogenic air separation plants

Transocean Wins Contracts for Rigs

The Transocean Leader, a fourth-generation, deepwater semi-submersible rig, won a one-year contract from Statoil ASA for exploration and development drilling operations offshore Norway. The Transocean Leader is expected to commence the contract by September 2007, in direct continuation of the rig's current contract, also with Statoil in Norway. Transocean Inc. to Reactivate Semisubmersible Rig C. Kirk Rhein

Transocean Inc. said that Reliance Industries Limited has awarded a two-year contract for the semisubmersible rig C. Kirk Rhein, Jr. for drilling operations offshore India. The contract is expected to commence in December 2006 following the completion of a reactivation program, which has recently begun. The reactivation program does not involve an upgrade of the rig's current capabilities. Revenues that could be generated over the two-year contract period total an estimated $248 million

O'Gara Wins Navy Satellite Deal

SatCom Group Holdings PLC, a reseller of mobile satellite communications, said its subsidiary O'Gara Satellite Systems Inc has won a 5-year contract, worth 10m in the first year, from the US government to supply satellite airtime to the US Navy. O'Gara, which is one of the five companies in the world certified as a Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) awardee, won the contract following a tender

Island Offshore Extends Contract with BP

Island Offshore has been awarded a major contract extension with BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd. The two-year contract extension, covering 2014 and 2015, has been awarded to Island Offshore and the North Sea RLWI Alliance, which operates three monohull vessels specially designed for well intervention tasks. Island Offshore’s Island Constructor - a 120m long, 8,200 ton, Ulstein built X-Bow vessel – will perform the scope of work for the client.

Saudi Signs Port & Shipyard Contracts

Saudi Ports sign contracts for upgradilng ports & rents out shipyard The Saudi Ports Authority has signed contracts worth s total $130 million for develpment and maintenance of ports including: King Abdul Aziz Port in Damman, King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu for use of Yasref refining company. In addition a 10-year contract was signed with Al=Balagha Trading Group for the rental of King Fahd Shipyard.  

Technip Signs Contract With ExxonMobil Global

Technip USA Corporation has signed a multi-year contract with ExxonMobil Global Services to provide front-end engineering services. Technip will provide engineering services to ExxonMobil’s Baytown refinery and chemical plants as ExxonMobil implements its programs to significantly reduce its NOx emissions and contributes to the Houston-Galveston-area efforts to attain air quality standards. MSC Awards $400M Contract for LMSR Operation

Statoil Awards Rig Contract to Dolphin AS

Statoil has awarded a contract to Dolphin AS and a letter of intent to Seadrill for two rigs which will operate on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). The Bideford Dolphin rig has won a three-year contract with start-up from 27 January 2011. The contract is worth about $421m. Statoil has an option to extend the contract from three to four years by 1 November 2010. The value of the contract will then increase to about $553m.
