Another 2 Keppel FELS Rigs for Mexico

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has delivered two jackup rigs to Mexican company, Grupo R. Built to Keppel's proprietary KFELS B Class design, the rigs, CANTARELL I and CANTARELL II, will be chartered to PEMEX, Mexico's national oil company, for operations in the Cantarell oil field in offshore Mexico. They are the first two of five jackup rigs that Keppel FELS is building for Grupo R. Mr Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director of Keppel O&M (Offshore) and Keppel FELS, said, "We are pleased to deliver another two rigs in 2016 to our quality client Grupo R. Despite the current low oil price environment, the market continues to prefer safe and efficient rigs with a proven track record like our KFELS B Class.

Keppel to Deliver Semisub to Floatel

Keppel FELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) is on track to deliver a fifth high-specification accommodation semisubmersible (semi) to Floatel International Ltd (Floatel) on time, on budget and with a perfect safety record. The semi, which is built to Keppel's proprietary SSAUTM 5000NG design, was named Floatel Triumph during a ceremony held earlier today. It will be chartered by INPEX Operations Australia for work in Ichthys Field, off Western Australia. Mr Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director of Keppel O&M (Offshore) and Keppel FELS, said, "We are pleased to deliver a fifth accommodation vessel to Floatel safely, on time and on budget.

Keppel Secures $85 mln Liftboat Order

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has secured a contract from Crystal Heights Holdings Limited, a company specializing in the offshore oil and gas market, to build a high specification liftboat worth $85 million. The liftboat is designed by Keppel O&M's liftboat design specialist, Bennett Offshore in collaboration with Keppel FELS. Scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2017, the liftboat will have provisions enabling it to operate in China, the Middle East and the Gulf of Mexico. Liftboats are dedicated vessels used to support offshore platforms in construction, accommodation and well intervention as well as maintenance and installation.

Fifth Jackup Contract for Keppel from Gulf Drilling

Keppel FELS Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine, has secured a contract from Gulf Drilling International Ltd. of Qatar to build a repeat high-specification KFELS B Class jackup rig worth US$227 million. As part of the contract, GDI has options for two more KFELS B Class rigs for deliveries in 2017. On the new jackup, to be named Halul, Keppel FELS has already begun preparations for its scheduled delivery in 1Q 2016 during the course of discussions with GDI. Upon delivery, Halul will be chartered to Qatar Petroleum for five years. Halul is GDI's fifth KFELS B Class jackup rig ordered from Keppel. The fourth rig, Dukhan, was recently delivered last month.

Keppel Delivers 4th Jackup Rig to Qatar

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has delivered its fourth jackup rig, "Dukhan", to Gulf Drilling International Ltd. q.s.c. (GDI) of Qatar nine days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. “Dukhan” is a high specification rig built to Keppel’s proprietary KFELS B Class design. Keppel FELS has previously delivered three similar jackup rigs to GDI; "Al Khor", "Al Zubarah" and "Les-hat". Keppel, Seafox Partner to Build Jackups

The accommodation jackup rig with Plug & Abandonment (P&A) features will be based on Keppel’s KFELS J Class design which is suited for the harsh environment of the Norwegian North Sea. Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has signed an engineering services agreement with Workfox B.V, a subsidiary of the Seafox Group (Seafox), to embark on an engineering study of a purpose-built accommodation jackup rig with well intervention and P&A features.

Keppel FELS to Build Three Jackups

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), has secured contracts to build three high-specification KFELS B Class jackup rigs worth about $650 million (USD) from new customer Fecon International Corp. (Fecon). Backed by experienced industrial entrepreneur, A.P. Dobrov, Fecon is a new player to the offshore oil and gas industry, and is targeting the growing offshore drilling markets of Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. In addition, Fecon's leadership team has extensive connections, experience and knowledge of working in Russia and has identified offshore drilling in Russia as a strategic market with good growth opportunities. UMW Orders another Jackup Rig from Keppel

UMW NAGA 4 was delivered in February 2013.

Keppel FELS Limited, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has secured a contract from UMW Drilling 8 Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Sdn. Bhd., for a KFELS B Class jackup rig worth $218 million (USD). It will be the third KFELS B Class jackup rig for UMW Oil & Gas and is scheduled for delivery in 3Q 2015. The first jackup - UMW NAGA 4 - was delivered in February 2013 and the second - UMW NAGA 5 - is expected to be completed by 2Q 2014.

Keppel FELS Delivers 21st Rig of 2013

Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS) has delivered ARABDRILL 60, a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) five days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. This marks the 21st newbuild offshore rig that Keppel FELS has delivered in 2013, setting a new record for the most rig deliveries by a company in a year. Keppel FELS Delivers Jackup Rig to Ensco

Keppel FELS Deliver Second Hercules Offshore Rig

Hercules Offshore, have received a second harsh environment KFELS Super A Class jackup rig, named ‘Hercules Resilience’ from Keppel FELLS, Singapore. Developed by Keppel FELS’ R&D arm, Offshore Technology Development (OTD), the KFELS Super A Class is an enhancement of the successful and proven KFELS A Class design. The Hercules rigs have been customised to meet the requirements of Houston-based Hercules Offshore, and are capable of operating in water depths of 400 feet and drilling depths of 35,000 feet.

Keppel FELS Delivers Third Accommodation Rig to Floatel

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) celebrated the naming of their third consecutive accommodation semisubmersible (semi) rig built for Floatel International Ltd (Floatel). The rig will be delivered more than four months ahead of schedule and within budget. The rig was named Floatel Victory on November 19, 2013 at Keppel FELS and will be chartered to Chevron for work in the Gulf of Mexico and BP in the West Shetlands. The first two accommodation semis – Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance – which Keppel FELS had built for Floatel, were delivered in 2010 to the same high standards of execution.

Keppel Secures Repeat Jackup Orders from Clearwater

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has secured a contract from an affiliate of Clearwater Capital Partners (Clearwater) to build a pair of premium KFELS B Class jackup rigs. The total cost of the project is about $440 million (USD), which also includes owner furnished equipment and project management fees. The rigs are scheduled to be completed in 4Q 2015 and 1Q 2016. Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director (Offshore) of Keppel O&M and Managing Director of Keppel FELS said Keppel FELS has 49 KFELS B Class/Super B Class jackup rigs already delivered and 17 on order. The KFELS B Class jackup rig is able to operate in water depths of up to 400 feet, drill to 30,000 feet deep and equipped with offline standbuilding capability.

Floatel Orders Fifth Keppel Accommodation Semi

Keppel FELS Ltd. was awarded a contract worth about $280 million by Floatel International Ltd. to build its fifth accommodation semisubmersible (semi) for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2015. Keppel FELS previously delivered the accommodation semis, Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance, in 2010 and is currently constructing two more: Floatel Victory and Floatel Endurance. The new semi will be a sister vessel to Floatel Victory and will be built to Keppel's proprietary SSAUTM5000NG design.

Keppel FELS Delivers Another Premium Rig

Keppel FELS has delivered a KFELS B Class jackup rig, to Constructora y Perforadora Latina (CP LATINA), a private Mexican company in the energy sector. The rig was named La Santa Mariaat a ceremony in Keppel FELS. Delivered on time and with a perfect safety record, it will be chartered to Pemex, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico. La Santa Maria  is the first of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS is building for CP Latina. The second rig is on schedule to be delivered in 4Q 2013. Keppel FELS Delivers Second Jackup Rig to Oro Negro

Keppel FELS delivered a second KFELS B Class jackup rig to offshore Mexican oil field services company, Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro. Named Laurus at Keppel FELS today, the rig was delivered eleven days early and with a perfect safety record, Keppel noted. Laurus is the second of two high-specification jackup rigs that Keppel FELS has built for Oro Negro which will be chartered to PEMEX, Mexico's national oil company, for deployment in offshore Mexico. The first rig, Primus, was delivered in December last year. Keppel Wins $226m Offshore order

Keppel Offshore & Marine’s 2013 to-date total to $1.8 billion (USD). Mr. Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director (Offshore) of Keppel O&M and Managing Director of Keppel FELS said, "Falcon Energy entered the offshore oil drilling business when they ordered two jackup rigs from China in 2011 ... Falcon Energy has chosen the KFELS Super B Class design for their new high specification jackup rig, which will be built at our yard in Singapore. "So far this year, Keppel FELS has already delivered six rigs ahead of schedule, safely and on budget. For the latest delivery of AOD II, a KFELS B Class jackup, to Asia Offshore Drilling, we received a bonus of about US$2 million for completing the rig 62 days early.

Keppel FELS Adds US$300 Million in New Contracts

Keppel FELS Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine, has secured three contracts worth a combined US$300 million from repeat customers. The contracts are for the construction of a KFELS B Class jackup rig from Star Drilling Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company promoted by the companies of D.P. Jindal Group; the upgrading of the semisubmersible ENSCO 5006 for Ensco PLC (Ensco); and the upgrading of the semisubmersible Ocean Patriot for Diamond Offshore. Keppel FELS Delivers First of 20 Rigs for 2013

Keppel FELS is delivering its first rig of 2013, 'Dynamic Vision', to Dynamic Offshore subsidiary Vision Drilling. The KFELS B Class jackup rig, Dynamic Vision, is the first of the 20 offshore rigs that Keppel FELS is expected to deliver in 2013 and will be delivered almost two months ahead of schedule (with a perfect safety record), to garner an early delivery bonus of about US$ 1 million. Built and optimised to meet the unique environmental requirements of India, Dynamic Vision is capable of operating in water depths of 350 feet and drilling down to 30,000 feet. Keppel's advanced and fully-automated high capacity rack and pinion elevating system and self-positioning fixation system have been incorporated into the design.

Keppel Expands Foothold in Mexican Offshore Market

Keppel FELS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has won a contract from PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion, a subsidiary of Mexico's national oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), to build two KFELS B Class jackup rigs worth US$420 million. Scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2015, the high specification rigs will be the 19th and 20th KFELS B Class rigs on order at Keppel, with 36 already delivered in the past decade. When completed, the two rigs will join a number of KFELS B Class jackup rigs built by Keppel for Mexican customers. This includes the Primus jackup rig recently delivered to Oro Negro as well as the Tonala rig operated by Peforadora Central.

Keppel FELS Signs Contract Worth US$1.2 Billion

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has signed a contract with Ukraine's National Joint-Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" (Naftogaz), to construct two semisubmersible drilling rigs worth about US$1.2 billion. The contract will be effective upon final corporate approvals. This follows an earlier announcement made on 21 November 2012 in relation to Keppel FELS being selected as winner of the tender to construct the two semisubmersible drilling rigs. The rigs will be built to Keppel FELS' proprietary DSSTM 38U design which is customised for the Black Sea environment. The harsh weather conditions of the Black Sea include extreme freezing temperatures, storms with strong winds and heavy seas.
