MJP Appoints Regional Director for Americas

Marine Jet Power (MJP) has appointed Michael Rickey as President and Regional Director of Marine Jet Power, Inc. effective as of December, 2. Rickey will be responsible for business development in the Americas region, where the company holds a corporate office in Blacklick, Ohio.Prior to joining MJP, Rickey enjoyed a 24-year career with American Honda, where he began in 1995 as an assistant manager for export sales. Since then, he has served in several senior roles within the organization from operational to business development. Most recently serving as Senior Manager for Honda Marine.

AMOT has announced Gustavo Garza as the new Americas regions sales manager for the marine market. Gustavo obtained his bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University at Galveston. Post-graduation, Gustavo expanded his product knowledge working in the marine, industrial distribution, and oil & gas industries while owning his own real estate investment company. Before joining AMOT, Gustavo shared his passion for sales and engineering at Cummins Southern Plains, Atlas Industrial Supply, and FMC Technologies.

Rickey was named Senior Manager, Honda Marine, effective April 1, 2018.In this capacity he oversees total sales, operations and application engineering activities for the U.S. region, working to increase volume through the execution of competitive pricing; sales channel expansion; strategic advertising and promotional campaigns; and enhanced communications with OEM and dealer channels.Before his current role, Rickey most recently served as Senior Manager, Engines and Export Sales for the Honda Engines group.

Ports of Indiana: Building on Success

The Ports of Indiana is a statewide port authority, established in 1963, which operates three ports: two on the Ohio River, one on Lake Michigan. Port officials refer to the three as “America’s Premier Inland Port System.” They cite location, location, location, providing access via two critical freight arteries – the Great Lakes and the Inland Waterway System and proximity to the world’s most productive industrial and agricultural regions. The Ports is the only statewide port authority in the Midwest.

Panama Canal and South Carolina State Ports Renew Alliance

The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) and the South Carolina State Ports Authority (SCSPA), which owns and operates the , have formally renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a three-year term. The reaffirmed alliance will help the two entities better meet their short- and long-term goals and benefit shipping through increased cooperation and information sharing. The renewal of the MOU with the SCSPA further solidifies the ACP’s commitment to international trade and serves as a model of progress and opportunity. The agreement was first initiated in July 2003. ACL Names Vanier as VP

American Commercial Lines Inc. (ACL) has appointed Jacques J. Vanier to the position of Vice President Manufacturing.
