Driven by Energy Transition, Proserv Realigns Key Management

Proserv move sees new roles for current Group CEO David Currie, Proserv Controls CEO Davis Larssen and arrival of former RenewableUK CEO Hugh McNeal.Proserv has announced a high-level senior management and corporate realignment as the business continues to evolve and pivot towards the future energy landscape.Present Group Chief Executive Officer David Currie will become Chairman of the Board for both Proserv and sister business Gilmore Valves, the Houston based flow control specialists effective July 1st, 2022.

Aker Solutions to Lease 31,100 sq.m Aberdeen Office

"This move is a long-term investment for us and underlines our commitment to Aberdeen and our customers in the area," said David Currie, Aker Solutions' regional head in the UK. Aker Solutions explains that the facility is under development and will consist of three interconnected buildings in the Aberdeen International Business Park on Dyce Drive, the main route between Aberdeen's city center and international airport. The complex will total about 31,100 square meters (334,713 square feet) of office space and related facilities, including a fitness center with squash courts, catering facilities, a nursery, medical facilities and an auditorium. It constitutes the first phase of the park's development and is expected to be ready for occupation in the second quarter of 2015.

Aker Appoint David Currie UK Regional President

Aker Solutions says that since 2011 it has established regional structures in Brazil, North America, Norway and now the UK to bolster its presence and build stronger relations with key customers. Currie comes from FMC Technologies, where he has since 1985 held various positions, most recently as director of global subsea operations. A native of Scotland, he will be based in Aberdeen, where Aker Solutions has 2,600 employees working in the maintenance, modifications and operations, drilling technologies and subsea business areas.

Acteon company, Seatronics Ltd., has appointed Jeff Holtom as regional manager in the Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi, Holtom’s responsibilities at Seatronics Ltd. will include sales and marketing, overall Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) responsibility and general and management of the Seatronics office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Holtom has a degree in land and hydrographic surveying from North East London Polytechnic, UK. Acteon Completes Acquisitions

Acteon has completed the acquisition of three companies from the Aberdeen-based Craig Group. They are Seatronics, International Mooring Systems (IMS) and Chain Corporation International (ChainCo). David Currie will continue to lead Seatronics; and Alan Duncan will head IMS and ChainCo. Both will report to Acteon Vice President Bernhard Bruggaier. The activities of IMS and ChainCo are very much in line with existing Acteon companies InterMoor and Trident – the two new companies will considerably improve Acteon’s overall offering in the moorings market. As a whole, InterMoor and IMS together will possess the world’s largest inventory of mooring equipment available for rental. The acquisition of Seatronics provides an entry for Acteon into the advanced marine survey sector.
