OSM Maritime Launches OSM ON

Ship management company OSM Maritime has launched a portfolio of ‘industry first services’ with the introduction of OSM ON. The new product will be offered to a customer base that not only includes owners, but also insurance companies, financial institutions and brokers. It utilizes the company’s recently opened Maritime Operations Center in Singapore – which digitally connects all vessels under OSM management, and all activities with real-time visibility and transparency – to provide 24/7 response and risk management support services.

WRSystems Promote Greg Black Senior V-P

Greg Black, Director of the Government Business Solutions Division, promoted to Senior Vice President of WRSystems, Ltd. Mr. Black has over 30 years of experience in federal and private sector weapon system program management. He served in the United States Air Force and after completion of his military duty, entered the Federal Civil Service as an engineer with the Naval Space Command, performing several functions including Program Manager for the Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar (ROTHR) program. US Navy Awards Program Support Contract to Noblis

Noblis to provide technical, engineering, & program management support services to the Naval Sea Systems Command. Noblis, Inc., a leading nonprofit science, technology, and strategy organization that helps clients solve complex scientific, systems, process, and infrastructure problems, announce they have been awarded a prime SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract sponsored by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The period of performance of the contract is from 12 July 2012 to 04 April 2014. As a prime contract holder on SeaPort-e, Noblis has the ability to compete for work in 21 of the 22 functional areas.

Graig Wins Suezmax Supervision Contract

Graig secures ten-vessel supervision contract for Global Union suezmax newbuildings. Graig China Ltd (GCL), part of the Cardiff-based Graig Group, has been contracted by Hong Kong-based Global Union Shipping Limited to supervise the construction of ten 157,000 dwt suezmax crude oil tankers building at Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Co Ltd in China. The last vessel in the ten-ship order is due for delivery in January 2014. GCL is supervising – or has already delivered - forty other newbuildings at the Rongsheng shipyard. New Navy Contracts

Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding (NGSB), Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $31,800,000 Basic Ordering Agreement for Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) for DDG 51 class destroyers. The orders to be issued arefor PSA planning and support services and will include advance planning, engineering support, on-site engineering liaison, craft assistance, the ordering and processing of required material in support of PSAs, and the accomplishment of emergent industrial availabilities. Emergent industrial availabilities include, but are not limited to, restricted availabilities, drydocking availabilities, and technical availabilities which may be required from time of ship's delivery through the SCN obligation work and limiting date.

New Navy Contracts

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $16,801,209 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-05-C-2217) for Life Cycle Engineering and Support services on the LPD 17 Class Amphibious Transport Dock Ship Program. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss. (60 percent) and New Orleans, La. (40 percent), and work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. AECOM Wins USCG Contract

AECOM Technology Corporation (ACM:aecom technology corp delawa com ACM 18.35, +0.75, +4.3%), provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that its environment business line has been awarded a $12.5m, multi-year, nationwide contract renewal by the United States Coast Guard for environmental and engineering services at USCG onshore and offshore navigation facilities. Under the five-year contract, AECOM Environment is providing USCG with environmental compliance and auditing, remedial engineering and management, and storm water management planning for their onshore and offshore facilities such as lighthouse structures, waterfront facilities, buildings, and grounds and other aids to navigation.

KPMG To Provide Program Management Support To NAVSEA

KPMG Consulting, Inc., announced that it will provide long term program management support to the Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Undersea Weapons Program Office. KPMG Consulting teamed with Anteon Corporation, a leading information technology and engineering solution company, to win the delivery order, which was competed under a multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. AERA Receives Contract

Advanced Engineering and Research Associates (AERA) Inc., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $5,046,276 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract to exercise an option for U.S. Navy, foreign military, and material management support services. planning Ship Project Directive configuration requirements, delivery schedules of Government Furnished Equipment and other related management functions, for U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) DDG class ships. This involves purchases for the U.S. Navy (90 percent) and the Governments of Japan (5 percent) and Spain (5 percent) under the FMS Program. Work will be performed in Alexandria and is to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. D.C., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Team Wins Navy Contract

A team led by Northrop Grumman Corporation will help the U.S. Navy streamline security assistance and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) through a contract under the General Service Administration's Millennia Lite contracting vehicle. Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector if all options are exercised. Grumman IT as the industry leader for NAVSEA FMS. Northrop Grumman IT will provide a broad range of FMS program and acquisition management support services for the procurement of Navy ordnance, weapons and weapons systems, ships and ship components, and the construction and transfer of Navy ships, ship systems and equipment.
