Torqeedo has designated Boynton Beach, Florida's EPowerMarine as an aftermarket installer for Deep Blue, the company's award-winning, 80 hp electric outboard system. The concept behind this is to provide options for smaller builders and consumers looking to retrofit their boats with the new system. OEM channel sales will still be conducted through Torqeedo Inc., based in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Torqeedo's Deep Blue system was released earlier this year, winning both the coveted DAME award and also the NMMA Innovation Award. The system is currently offered in both 80 and 40 hp configurations and can also be installed as a twin application. New products within the category are set to be announced over the coming weeks.
