Fatigue and Fracture Analysis of Ship Structures
BMT Fleet Technology Limited, a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, announced the next Fatigue and Fracture Analysis workshop for Fall 2011. This three-day workshop will be of interest to Naval Architects, Engineers and Ship Superintendents who are responsible for vessel design, maintenance and operation. Senior students engaged in naval architecture studies would also benefit. The workshop presents tools and techniques for quantitative fatigue and fracture assessment of ship structures considering the materials, structural geometry and loading. Practical application examples are used to reveal the value of this technology in supporting safe and cost-effective material, design and maintenance decisions.
