Rolls-Royce Wins Substantial Volstad OCV Equipment Order
Rolls-Royce informs it has won a contract worth approximately £13.5 million to deliver a unique package of advanced ship equipment for a new offshore construction vessel (OCV) currently being built in Turkey for the Norwegian ship owner Volstad Shipping AS. The vessel is 125 meters long and is designed with ice class for operations in Arctic waters. Volstad Shiiping Orders Subsea IMR & Construction Vesssel
Volstad Shipping AS has signed a contract with Tersan Shipyard in Turkey for the construction of a Subsea IMR and Construction Vessel. The contract is subject to satisfactory financing. The new vessel has main dimensions of 128.5m x 25m and is of ST-259 design. Estimated delivery time is Q4/2015. Total project cost is estimated at approximately NOK 800 million. Fearnley Offshore Supply AS has facilitated the new build contract between the two parties and has also participated in the development of the design. Fearnley will also handle the chartering of the ship.
Aker Yards to Build Platform PSV for Volstad Shipping
Volstad Shipping AS, Ålesund has confirmed an agreement with Aker Yards, for the building of a Platform Supply Vessel of ST-216L CD type. This contract is the third, of this type to be delivered from Aker Yards to Volstad Shipping. Delivery is scheduled for June 2008 from Aker Yards, Brattvaag. The vessel has the designation ST-216L CD by Skipsteknisk AS, with focus on environmental friendly and safe operations.
Aker Yards Wins PSV Contract
Aker Yards has confirmed an optional agreement with Volstad Shipping AS, Ålesund, for the building of a Platform Supply Vessel worth approximately $38 million. Delivery is scheduled for September 2007 from Aker Yards, Brattvaag. The vessel has the designation ST 216 L-CD by Skipsteknisk AS, with focus on environmental friendly and safe operations. The hull will be built in Romania.
