Thrane & Thrane Announce Touch Screen AIS For 2013

Thrane & Thrane has announced that in 2013 it will launch its first standalone AIS Class A transceiver for merchant and offshore vessels. The forthcoming Sailor 6280 AIS System is of the black box type and will be operated via a 7” touch display. The new touch display for the Sailor 6280 AIS System is a natural progression of the Sailor 6000 GMDSS Series. The system also features a number of inputs and outputs, ensuring that it can be integrated with common bridge systems, including VHF radios and ECDIS.
