Aker Solutions Wins Statoil Contract Extension

Statoil has exercised an option of a three year extension of the minor modifications frame agreement contract with Aker Solutions at the Mongstad refinery, located on Norway's west coast. Aker Solutions estimates the contract value to be approximately NOK 360 million. The original frame agreement at the Mongstad refinery commenced in January 2006 and lasts until the end of 2011. Scope of work includes studies and execution of modifications to increase operational stability, capacity and longevity. A total of 100 people at Aker Solutions' office in Bergen will work on the Mongstad contract. "We are very pleased that Statoil has renewed their trust in Aker Solutions.

Inchcape Shipping Re-Launches GOA Office

Akbar Khan, Vice President, Government Services Division, Inchcape Shipping Services Middle East, India & Africa, attended the re-launching of ISS’ Goa office. ISS resumed port agency operations in India in June 2005. The firm’s origins lie in Calcutta where forebears, Mackinnnon, Mackenzie & Co., commenced ships agency services in 1847. ISS India now has countrywide representation at all the major Indian ports handling a variety of commodities and a wide cross section of vessel types. Marine services include offshore support and Government Services activities throughout India. ISS India’s head office in Mumbai is headed by Country General Manager, Cdr Pradeep Mishra, IN (Retd).

Anteon Awarded $15.8M Contract

Anteon International Corporation announced that it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research for the Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare and Combating Terrorism Department (ONR-30) and the Office of the Vice Chief of Naval Research. Anteon will provide program management and engineering services to the ONR-30 at its offices in Arlington, Virginia. The estimated value of this contract, if all options are exercised, is $15.8 million over a five-year period of performance. ONR-30 is the principal agency within the Office of Naval Research for U.S. Marine Corps Science and Technology Programs. Its mission is to support the development of Naval Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare through the exploitation and subsequent application of science and technology.
