Sea Tow Services International, Inc. has expanded the company’s franchise program into seven new regions, one of which extends Sea Tow’s footprint into the state of Michigan. Three of the areas are also in lake regions, which remain important geographical targets for Sea Tow. The new Sea Tow Services coverage areas include Lake Erie (OH), Eastern Lake Michigan (MI), Lake George (NY), Trenton/Severn (Ontario), Solomons (MD) and Lake Gaston and Albemarle Sound (both in NC). “This is the second major expansion announcement for Sea Tow this year,” explains Captain Tim Wilson, National Corporate Representative for Sea Tow Services International. “We find ourselves increasingly in a position where interested parties are going to great lengths to seek us out after having researched their business options. I believe this is testimony to the value of our franchise offering as we are the only major marine assistance company that’s structured in a way that the franchisee shares financially in the growth of their membership.” Captain John Mohr of Albemarle Sound, a commercial fisherman and one of the newest members of the Sea Tow franchise network agrees with Wilson. Says Mohr, “I became interested in becoming a commercial tower while training for my captain’s license. At my instructor’s suggestion, I contacted Sea Tow and was blown away by the amount of information I received as well as the company’s devotion to its members and the obvious financial opportunities associated with owning a part of such a well recognized brand.”
