U.S. Submarines Expands

There is a lot happening at U.S. Submarines, Vero Beach, Fla. these days. The company has increased capitalization and expanded, and plans to move to a new facility. Additionally, there are plans to hire new employees, sign new constrcution contracts and introduce new models. The company is currently designing the world's first submarine cruise ship, finalizing a new 18-passenger acrylic tourist submarine design for a U.S. location and setting up two additional new tourist submarine operations, one in Miami and another in Palau. A third submarine has been added to the company's small sub line-up, Triton 650. This is a two-passenger submersible designed to be launched and recovered from a yacht. Also newly developed is a military submarine for patrol and surveillance and special forces delivery. Equipped with an advanced closed cycle diesel and a diver lock out chamber, this vessel has impressive capabilities and has been well received.
