Record Number of Delegates at SSPC 98

The SSPC 98 International Conference and Exhibition, recently held in Orlando, was attended by a record-breaking number of delegates. 3,243 users and suppliers of coatings and coatings-related products and services attended the four day event that featured training and professional development opportunities, networking, committee meetings, and other special meetings and events. The Orange County Convention Center was the hub for information exchange on all aspects of the use of coatings to protect, improve appearance, and extend the longevity of steel, concrete, and other industrial structures. A technical program comprising 10 seminar sessions - with more than 50 presentations - and 19 tutorials provided a framework for education and training. Seminar sessions examined areas of interest such as industrial deleading, surface preparation, coatings performance, offshore/marine coatings, worker health and safety, thermal spray technology, the contractor/owner relationship, and new directions in coatings formulation.
