Deutz has received another order from Wintershall for the installation of a power plant on its new production platform for operation in the German gas field A6A in the northernmost area of the German section of the continental shelf. This order follows a similar one, in which Deutz equipment is performing well on another Wintershall platform in the North Sea gas field D15. The plant consists of three generating sets: a gas engine genset, driven by a 16-cylinder engine of the 441 series and a diesel engine genset driven by an engine of the 620 series. The third set operates as an emergency genset.
