HAL Converts More Ships to Solvent Free Solutions

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

October 6, 2006

Winning Brands Corporation announces that Holland America Line is expanding the use of the Winning Brands' Solvent Free Solutions Team to replace conventional Dry Cleaning systems on two more ships, the ms Volendam and ms Zaandam. The earlier conversion of Holland America Line's flagship ms Rotterdam and four of its other ships to a new garment cleaning technology by the same team entirely eliminated the use of toxic Dry Cleaning solvents. The conversions were completed on time and on budget -- and passed all tests in subsequent cruises. The cruise line is therefore expanding the environmental program with these two additional ships in November 2006. This increases the number of ships Holland America Line will have converted to date to seven. This conversion reaffirms Holland America Line's environmental commitment as well as the viability of the new technology to replace Dry Cleaning on board.
