ITT Awarded $10.5m Contract Modification

ITT Industries, Gilfillan Division, Van Nuys, Calif., is being awarded a $10.5m modification to previously awarded contract N00024-06-C-5204 to exercise an option for the Radar Obsolescence Availability Recovery (ROAR) Program for the AN/SPS-48E Radar System. The AN/SPS-48 (series) radar system is the principal three dimensional air surveillance sensor on all U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and large deck amphibious ships. The contract will provide for continuing engineering and technical services to design, integrate, and test the AN/SPS-48G(V) radar system upgrade. Work will be performed in Van Nuys, Calif., and is expected to be completed in January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
