Videotel Launches Onboard Library

Tuesday, October 05, 2004
Videotel launched a new onboard training system, Videotel On Demand (VOD). The new system gives crews instant access to Videotel's entire training library of videos and computer based training packages wherever they are in the world.

Citing space concerns, specifically the lack of space to accommodate the burgeoning amount of training resources, Mike Potts, Videotel's general manager, said “Now, Videotel on Demand means that crews can access any training package, program or course at any time. They can access the most suitable training course for their needs; a big advance in terms of continuing professional development.”

The VOD system provides instant access to Videotel's full range of more than 500 videos covering everything from personal health and safety training to navigation, emergency procedures, and security precautions.
