Thrustmaster Launches New Website

Thursday, June 13, 2002
Thrustmaster of Texas, has launched its redesigned, easy-to-navigate Web site at www.thrustmastertexas.com. The official launch took place earlier in the month and resulted in triple the amount of visits as usual. While Thrustmaster has had a site up and running for the past four years, this marks the first time that a major redesign has been accomplished. “We basically started from square one and designed the new site from the ground up,” said Amanda Casey, Webmaster of the site. “In addition to the new look and navigation, the site offers on-line pricing and ordering of tunnel thrusters, detailed product drawings of all of our products, and links to virtually all major publications, organizations, agencies, and shipyards that people would want.” According to Jeff Miller, Thrustmaster Marketing Manager, “The new design of the site will make it much easier for shipbuilders, naval architects, and operators to get the detailed information, drawings, and prices they need from one centralized on-line location. In addition, there are numerous articles which will aid prospective users in their thruster selection, noise reduction issues, as well as making sure they are specifying the right horsepower and right thruster for the right application.” There are also pages where users can offer feedback on Thrustmaster products, order brochures (or simply read them on-line, since they have been digitized and converted to easy-to-read PDF files), and download the company’s quarterly newsletter, The SPIN. “Being able to offer our prospects and customers on-line access to all of our collateral material means an incredible savings in time for them. Instead of having to wait for a salesperson to either mail or bring them a brochure, they can access it themselves from anywhere in the world,” Casey said.
