VT Halter Marine Moves Corporate Offices

VT Halter Marine Inc., a subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems Inc., will relocate its corporate office to its Pascagoula Operations in Jackson County, Miss., effective July 1, 2004. VT Halter Marine currently owns six shipyards in Mississippi, two of which are fully operational. Boyd E. King, Chief Executive Officer stated, “With this move, VT Halter Marine will be more integrated and this will position the company for growth and future facilities expansion.” All of the Gulfport-based employees have been asked to relocate to the company’s Pascagoula or Moss Point operations. Executive Director George Freeland Jr. of the Jackson County Economic Development Foundation said, “VT Halter Marine is an integral part of the corporate community and the integration of facilities will only strengthen their presence in Jackson County. The Jackson County Economic Development Foundation welcomes the influx of high- tech jobs and anticipates many years of combined corporate and community success as a result of our partnership.” VT Halter Marine’s new address will be Post Office Box 1328 Pascagoula, Mississippi 39568. VT Halter Marine Inc., based in Gulfport, Miss., designs and constructs small- to medium-sized ships in the U.S. VT Halter Marine designs, builds and repairs a wide variety of ocean-going vessels such as patrol vessels, oil recovery vessels, oil cargo vessels, ferries, logistic support vessels and research ships. It is a subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems Inc. (VTS), a provider of integrated engineering solutions, specializing in the fields of marine, aerospace, electronics and land systems. Headquartered in Alexandria, VA., VTS is located throughout North America.
