Moose Boats has delivered the first Moose 340C Catamaran to the U.S. Navy, the first of the six boat contract that was awarded by the U.S. Navy in May 2003. The Moose 340C is a 37-ft. All-Aluminum Jet Powered Catamaran with twin Cummins 370 hp turbo diesels and is propelled by Hamilton 292 water jets. The Moose Boat design is designed to meet mission requirements due to its fast and stable catamaran hull and its water jet propulsion. The wide stable hull along with an all-weather cabin will accommodate a crew of four. If required, this vessel can be deployed at speeds over 34 knots with armament including 50 caliber and M60 machine guns.
