Bisso Barge Launches Tugs

New Orleans-based Bisso Marine recently used its 700-ton capacity derrick barge to launch four newly built tractor tugs in Gulfport, Miss. The barge – named the Cappy Bisso – successfully lifted and safely placed into the water the four identical 650-ton vessels. Bisso Marine offers a wide range of services to the energy and marine industries.

Kirby Reports Record Earnings

Kirby Corporation announced record net earnings of $68.1 million, or $1.19 per share, for the fourth quarter 2014 (ended December 31). The results bested 2013’s fourth quarter figures of $64.
