Port Equipment Manufacturers Assoc. Expands

The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) announced the incorporation of two new member companies: crane manufacturer Terex Cranes and container logistics solutions designer Loxystem AB.

Terex Cranes has 50 manufacturing facilities worldwide and sales in 170 countries. Terex Cranes division supplies a wide range of high performance mobile cranes to various industry sectors, including the international ports market, where the company currently specializes in the manufacture of container handling reach stackers.

Swedish-headquartered Loxystem’s new Remote Controlled Automatic Twistlock (RAT) is designed to speed vessel turnaround, reduce labor costs and improve worker safety by enabling containers to be discharged immediately upon arrival of the vessel without the need to manually unlock twistlocks.
