ABS Names Director of Technology Integration

ABS has appointed Diana Diettrich to director, technology integration. Diettrich will be responsible for formulating and directing the development and integration of new technology based services in the areas of risk and reliability, safety assessment and human factors engineering. Diettrich will assume this technology role from ABS' world headquarters in Houston, Texas, as part of the classification society's overall global technology and research efforts. Diettrich joined ABS as a field surveyor in 1981. Since then she has held various U.S. based and international survey assignments before joining the Americas Division Classification staff and later the ABS Corporate Classification staff. Her most recent assignment was Survey Manager within ABS' Corporate Technology Division. Diettrich is a graduate of Texas Maritime Academy with a BS degree in Marine Engineering. She also received an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master's of Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
