Administrative Rate Training

Storekeeper Advanced Rate Training - December 3 – 14, 2007

This two week course is designed for E5 and above, or E4 personnel who have taken the Store keeper basic course. The course will assist Storekeepers in regaining skills that may not have been practiced during drill weekend due to non-availability of training platform.

Yeoman Advanced Rate Training - December 3 – 14, 2007

Designed for E5 and above, and E4 who have taken the Yeoman (Basic). The purpose of the course is to provide students at the E5/E6 level with training that will refresh their basic Yeoman skills and introduce them to materials specific to the requirements for the next Advancement examination. By providing organized and intensive training, students can make practical application of current Navy administrative concepts and procedures under limited supervision.

Engineering Rate Training

Electrician's Mate Rate Training - December 3 – 14, 2007

This two week course is design for Navy Reservist that are looking to advance in the Electrician’s Mate (EM) rate. Also, the course will increase the student’s knowledge in the areas of Electrical Installations, Engineering Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Inspections. Maintenance and Repair of Rotating Electrical Machinery, Electro hydraulic Load Sensing Speed Governors and Electrical Auxiliaries.

Engineman Rate Training - December 3 – 14, 2007

This course is design for Navy Reservists that are looking to advance in the Engineman rate. The course will increase the student’s knowledge in the areas of: Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines, Stationary Part of an Engine, Moving and Related Parts of an Engine, Engine Drive Mechanism, Intake and Exhaust Systems, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Engine Cooling Systems and Lubricating Oil System. Distilling Plants, Diesel Fuel Systems and Engine Control Devices, Compressed Air Systems, Pumps and Valves, and Engine Starting Systems and Operating Practices.

Technical Training

IT Basic Rate Training – December 3 – 14, 2007

This two week course is designed for Naval Reservists that are looking to advance within the Information Technologist (IT) Rate. The course includes study in the areas of: Administration Security, Computer Center Operations, Computer Hardware Setup, Data Management, Crypto Security, Emission Control, Network Administration and troubleshooting, Voice Communications, Communications Center Operations, and LAN Hardware. Additionally, upon successful completion of the course students will receive a CCST (Certified Computer Service Technician) Certification through the NTCC (National Telecommunications Certification Council). This is a national certification that covers hands-on and both basic hardware and software operations.

Programmable Logic Controllers – December 3 – 14, 2007

This two-week course teaches students the latest in industrial automation and control. Topics include architecture current and future, programming with hands on laboratory exercises, management and integration possibilities with Information Systems, implementation and optimization strategies, and troubleshooting. Upon completion of the course, graduates gain the skills necessary to operate and perform normal maintenance functions on PLCs, and are competitive in this rapid advance in automation technology.
