Aker Yards to Build Supply Vessel for Island Offshore

Aker Yards has signed a contract with Island Offshore in Ulsteinvik, Norway to deliver one UT 776 CD Platform supply vessel. The total value of the contract is approximately $48.9m. This is the 23rd contract between the ship owner Island Offshore and Aker Yards. The hull for the vessel will be built in Romania and outfitted at Aker Yards, Brevik. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for July 2009.
