Annual Maritime Dinner Dance

On Friday, December 5, 2008, The Chesapeake Chapter of the USMAA-AF will host the dinner and dance, “MARAD – Promoting Our U.S. Merchant Marine.”

The Guest of Honor and Featured Speaker will be the Honorable Sean T. Connaughton (KP ’83), Maritime Administrator, Department of Transportation, U.S. Maritime Administration. Connaughton is expected to be nominated to be Commissioner of the Federal Maritime Commission and upon appointment designate Chairman, for the remainder of a five-year term expiring 06/30/12.

The semi-formal affair will take place at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute, 692 Maritime Boulevard, Linthicum Heights, MD. To purchase tickets, at $75 per person, contact Gary G.
