The IMO issued a circular listing the ballast water management systems utilizing active substances that have received basic or final approval to date. BWM.2/Circ.16 (10/17/08). The IMO also issued a circular forwarding the procedures for approval of ballast water management systems that make use of active substances. BWM.2/Circ.15 (10/16/08).
