Wednesday, August 20, 2003
Aura Systems, Inc. today announced that the AuraGen Electronics Control Unit (ECU) has received approval for UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Listing under the UL 458 standard. UL 458 is the U.S. standard for Power Converters/Inverter Systems for Land Vehicles and Marine Crafts. "This is an important milestone for Aura Systems," said Neal Meehan, Aura Chairman and CEO. "We believe that meeting the widely recognized UL and CSA standards help solidify our position as a leading manufacturer of mobile power systems. With these listings, we can expand our business into important market segments such as Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and Marine applications where UL Listing is an industry requirement. I want to recognize and thank the Aura employees who have worked tirelessly to make this critical UL Listing a reality."
