Wednesday, March 26, 2008

BMT Fleet Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, announced the next Fatigue and Fracture Analysis workshop for Fall 2008.
The popular three day workshop will be held at the Hilton Barcelona on November
18-20.
It will be of interest to Naval Architects, Engineers and Ship Superintendents who are responsible for vessel design, maintenance and operation.  Senior students engaged in naval architecture studies would also benefit.
The workshop presents tools and techniques for quantitative fatigue and fracture assessment of ship structures considering the materials, structural geometry and loading.
Practical application examples are used to reveal the value of this technology in supporting safe and cost-effective material, design and maintenance decisions.

The materials will be presented and discussed by recognized experts in the application of fatigue and fracture mechanics-based methodologies.
