Wednesday, March 11, 2009

VeriTainer Corporation, a crane mounted maritime security solutions, announced the formation of VeriTainer (Asia) Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of VeriTainer Corporation. VeriTainer Asia Pte. Ltd. will be headquartered in Singapore. Ms. Annie Chew has been elected as President of VeriTainer Asia. Currently VeriTainer's VP of Asian Markets, Ms. Chew brings experience in the shipping business as the former Chief Information Officer of Singapore based Neptune Orient Lines.

The VeriSpreader(TM) performs its detection measurements during the normal loading and/or discharge of the container. Embedded in existing equipment and utilizing the time afforded within existing operations, the VeriSpreader(TM) neither delays the movement of freight nor requires valuable terminal real estate. It enjoys built-in reciprocity as the same infrastructure can scan freight coming and going with no additional equipment or staffing.

VeriTainer Corporation is a venture-backed leader in crane-based radiation detection technology for scanning of shipping containers.
