Chinese Shipbuilding up 52%

Companiesandmarkets.com reported that China accomplished shipbuilding output of 28.81 million deadweight tonnages in 2008, rising by 52.2% from the year before. According to the Clarkson, in 2008, the global newly undertook ship orders of 150 million deadweight tonnages.
